Aksi Kontra Muktamar Berkaos Partai, PKB: Mereka Bukan Kader!

NUSA Dua - There was an action from a group of people wearing white shirts bearing the National Awakening Party (PKB) logo around the location of the 6th PKB Congress in Nusa Dua, Bali.

It can be said that they carried out the action against the PKB Congress held by the General Chairperson of the PKB, Muhaimin Iskandar. They came using motorbikes and dozens of buses with gathering points at Lagoon Field, Nusa Dua.

They also unfurled banners that read "return the PKB to NU". Also carried out the burning of banners by the masses.

This action was responded to by the Deputy Secretary General of PKB, Syaiful Huda, who said that his party had traced the emergence of the action against the congress. Huda emphasized that they were not PKB cadres and wore t-shirts bearing party logos without permission.

"As a result of our investigation, they are not cadres and are not PKB administrators. We also demand that they remove the PKB attributes they use because they are not cadres and are not PKB administrators," said Huda at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center (BNDCC), Saturday, August 24.

Huda assessed that this action was deliberately carried out to damage the conduciveness of the congress. Considering it as an infiltration activity, Huda urged the police to disperse it. "We ask the police, the Police Chief directly mentions to the National Police Chief, because they plan to make a commotion on this Balinese earth that we love. We ask that the action be disbanded as soon as possible because it attracts public order, attracts the people in Bali," he said.

Meanwhile, the 6th PKB Congress committee is preparing for the continuity of the event which will be held at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center (BNDCC). The congress will start at 19.00 WITA.

The congress is the highest decision-making forum for PKB ahead of the change of management, which this time was attended by 2,888 representatives or envoys from the regional leadership council (DPW) and branch leadership councils (DPC) throughout Indonesia, including the PKB autonomous body.

Tonight, administrators at the regional level will evaluate the leadership of the PKB General Chair, Muhaimin Iskandar, for the past five years. A decision was also made to determine who would lead the PKB for the following period.

In addition, the PKB ranks also held a number of trials related to, for example, programs or outlines of parties in the management for the next five years. PKB has announced that it will join the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka government.
