246 People With Mental Disabilities Enter The DPS Of The South Lampung Regional Head Election

LAMPUNG SELATAN - The General Election Commission (KPU) of South Lampung Regency (Lamsel), Lampung Province, recorded 246 people with mental disabilities in its area as a temporary voter list (DPS) to grant voting rights to the 2024 Regional Head Election (Pilkada). Head of Data Planning and Information Division of South Lampung KPU Asma Emilia, said that hundreds of people with mental disabilities have been classified as classifiers in giving their voting rights in simultaneous regional elections this year. "In addition to the mental disability group, he said, the community from the special groups registered as voters in the elections contained six other groups with a total of 1,520 people," explained Asma, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, August 23. Asma said that for classification in certain groups / specifically as voters, namely physical 583 people, intellectual 100 people, mental 246 people, language 314 people, deaf 77 people, and netra 200 people.

The KPU of South Lampung Regency, he continued, set a temporary voter list for the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Head Election as many as 792,219 people. He said that the temporary voter list consisted of 401,423 men and 390,796 women.
