JAKARTA - The 7 party coalition's efforts to tackle Jaro Ade in the Bogor Regency Pilkada failed completely, after the Constitutional Court (MK) made Decision Number 60/PUU-XXII/2024 which changed the conditions for the suspension of the candidate pair (paslon) of the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Head Elections.

"Of course, the Constitutional Court's decision is very surprising, and what is certain is that this greatly affects the political escalation in Bogor Regency, where to carry a candidate pair is no longer based on the number of seats, but based on party votes," said LS Founder Vinus Nusantara, Yusfitriadi, Wednesday, August 21.

According to Yus, the Constitutional Court's decision Number 60/PUU-XXII/2024 is to encourage justice and provide equal opportunities for Bogor Regent candidates so that there are no empty boxes.

"Of course there will be major changes seven days before the registration of the prospective regent and deputy regent of Bogor to the KPUD," he said.

The sense of justice given through the Constitutional Court's decision provides space for political parties. Not only the Gerindra Party, but other parties such as PKS and the Golkar Party can also carry the candidate pair for regent as long as the party's votes reach a minimum of 6.5 percent.

"The Constitutional Court's decision allows parties with a minimum of 6.5 percent of votes to nominate candidates for regent and deputy regent. So it is clear that there will be no opponents of empty boxes in Bogor Regency," he said.

The prediction of political observers, the 7-party coalition that has declared that Rudy Susmanto will become a candidate for Bogor regent some time ago, such as Gerindra, PPP, PDI-P, PKS, PKB, Democrats and PAN, is predicted to be disbanded.

"Because PKS, PDI-P PPP, PKB and Democrats are able to carry their own candidates, without having to form a coalition with other parties," continued Yus.

Even so with the Golkar Party, of course Jaro Ade can walk forward as a candidate for the Bogor Regent without having to form a coalition with any party.

"Moreover, currently the NasDem Party's support for Golkar, especially Jaro Ade, is very strong and ready to carry Jaro Ade as a candidate for Bogor Regent without a dowry," he said.

The nomination of Bogor Regent Jaro Ade is predicted to walk through registration to the Bogor Regency KPUD. According to Yus, the support of the community and all survey institutions with the results has crossed the threshold. Jaro Ade's popularity and electability, continued Yus, have reached 58.0% of the results of the Indicator survey agency.

"So, the possibility and certainty of Kang Jaro Ade being able to advance in the contestation for the election of the regent and deputy regent of Bogor Regency in 2024," he said.

However, the Constitutional Court's decision not only benefits political parties that have seats in the parliament, but also provides opportunities and opportunities for non-parliamentary parties such as PSI, Hanura, Perindo, Gelora and others, if the votes of the party are combined, it reaches more than 6.5 percent.

"What I know is that this non-parliament party has a coalition called a non-parliamentary coalition and has stated its support for Kang Jaro Ade in the 2024 Bogor Regency Pilkada," said Bang Yus.
