SMP 10 Student Sumur Batu Kemayoran Dies While Playing In School Area

JAKARTA - A junior high school student in Sumur Batu Village, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta was found dead in a pathetic manner. The victim died as a result of falling while playing in the SMP 10 school area while playing.

"It is true that there was a student who died at the SMP 10 school. It happened some time ago around August 13, 2024," said Head of Public Relations of the Kemayoran Police, Bripka Ricky Sihite when confirmed, Wednesday, August 21.

Bripka Ricky said the incident began when students were playing with traditional games. While playing, the victim tried to avoid his friend falling.

"He played a traditional game, now when he wanted to avoid his friend, the victim fell. The victim's head and chest hit the floor surface," he said.

Bripka Ricky said that his party had seen CCTV footage. The footage shows that no other student interferes with or hits the victim.

"It was purely an accident like a single accident," he said.

Regarding this incident, the school has reported to the Central Jakarta City Education Office. However, the school has not yet made an official report to the Kemayoran Police.

"This case infonya pihak keluarga sudah menerima atas kejadian tersebut," katanya.
