BANDUNG - The Class I Immigration Office of TPI Bandung, West Java, deported three foreign investors from Vietnam who had abused their residence permit and provided incorrect information in obtaining investor visas.

Head of the Class I Immigration Office of TPI Bandung Babay Baenullah said the three foreigners came to Indonesia using investor visas.

However, based on the results of the immigration examination, the investors did not invest in any company in Indonesia and carried out other activities that had nothing to do with investors.

"Even they don't know the name of the company where they are active," Babay said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, August 19.

Babay said that his party would not tolerate foreigners who are active illegally and should be suspected of disrupting public order.

"Furthermore, we will continue to increase immigration supervision in the working area of the Bandung Immigration Office as an effort to detect early immigration violations and law enforcement," he said.

Head of the Immigration Intelligence and Enforcement Section, Aditya Nursanto, explained that when immigration surveillance was carried out, evidence was found that they were not active as investors, so it was suspected that immigration violations had occurred.

"All three Vietnamese foreigners are secured to the Bandung Immigration Office for intensive examination. They use KITAS investors so that they can stay longer and do activities in Indonesia, but not as investors," said Aditya.

The deportation process for the three foreigners was carried out on Monday (19/8) through Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Tangerang, Banten using the Vietjet airline.
