PDIP accepts Yasonna being replaced by Supratman as Minister of Law and Human Rights

JAKARTA - PDIP DPP chairman Said Abdullah said his party accepted the replacement of Yasonna H Laoly with Gerindra politician Supratman Andi Agtas as Minister of Law and Human Rights. Said assessed that Supratman was indeed prepared to become a minister in the government cabinet in the future.

According to Said, PDIP does not consider today's cabinet reshuffle political. Because even though the position of minister is a political position, PDIP understands this momentum as a transition period from the Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin administration with the Prabowo-Gibran government.

"For the PDI-P, it doesn't matter whether this is really political. If you look at the ministerial position, it is indeed a political position, but we also invite ourselves that our congress mandates to guard this government until 2024," said Said Abdullah, Monday, August 19.

"For our obedience to the constitution to maintain the constitution, we accept the replacement of Mr. Yasona and/or Mr. Arifin," he continued.

Said also did not want to suspect that Yasonna's replacement with Supratman would pass the revision of the MPR Law, DPR, DPD and DPRD or the MD3 Law to take the position of chairman of the DPR from PDIP as the winner of the election. It is known, Supratman is a former chairman of the Legislative Council of the House of Representatives who has just been rotated.

"We are not in a position to guess, because of the facts of MD3, as asked earlier, in the DPR there is nothing. Because until now we have communicated with various parties, God willing, the estuary will be thank God. Why? Ayuklah, put everything in the constitutional spaces in our state life. There is no need for any presumption that is not in place. Because this is a transition period, only two months left, "explained Said.

Said assessed that Yasonna's change to Supratman was nothing more because of the transitional period of this period which would end in two months. He suspected that Supratman would indeed be appointed Prabowo's minister.

"I saw that when there was a change of Mr. Yasona by Kang Maman, it was part of the transition of government and it was only natural. So Kang Maman will be the next Minister of Law and Human Rights, he no longer needs to learn in the remaining two months, has prepared himself to become Minister of 2024-2029. I think that's my thoughts like that," he concluded.
