The Gold Robbery Case In Kemanggisan Is Handled By The West Jakarta Metro Police

The West Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) is still investigating reports of a robbery that took place at a luxury house on Jalan Bima, Kemanggisan, Palmerah District, West Jakarta.

The incident occurred on Saturday, August 17, yesterday, during the celebration of the 79th Indonesian Independence Day. In addition to robbing a number of valuables, the perpetrator also took hostage the child of the owner of the house and the household assistant.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Palmerah Police, AKP Ronny, said the case had been handled by the West Jakarta Metro Police Satreskrim.

"The one who directly handles the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Resort Police is not Palmerah. So we are updating the direct developments of the Resort Police," said AKP Rony when confirmed, Monday, August 19.

Meanwhile, the Head of Criminal Investigation at the West Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Andri Kurniawan, had not responded when VOI confirmed the robbery incident via WhatsApp messages and contacted via cellular.

Previously, a gang of robbers took action in the Kemanggisan area, Palmerah, West Jakarta. They managed to steal hundreds of millions of gold and lock up the occupants of the house.

Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi said the robbery took place on Saturday, August 17. It is known that the action when the victim with the initials LPI received a call from his son who conveyed the information.

"The victim received a call from his son and reported that there was a scream from the victim's house," Ade told reporters, Monday, August 19.

Then, LPI contacted the housing security officer to check the condition of his house. When checked, it turned out that his house had become the target of the robbers. In fact, LPI's son and his household assistant (ART) were held in the room.

"After checking by security, it was found that the victim's child and the housemaid in the room and locked from the outside were tied and the victim's assistant mouth was covered with duct tape," he said.
