Prabowo Messages To Menkumham Baru Supratman Andi To Stay Away From Disgraceful Actions

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Greater Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra) Prabowo Subianto advised Supratman Andi Agtas, who had just been appointed as Minister of Law and Human Rights (Menkumham) to avoid disgraceful acts. To note, Supratman is a member of the DPR RI Gerindra Party from the constituency of Central Sulawesi, who serves as Chairman of the Legislation Body of the DPR RI. "This morning we also met with Pak Prabowo, the Elected President, he ordered us to protect this republic. Do not do anything disgraceful and God willing, it will be the task we will carry out," Supratman said after the Inauguration of the Minister and Deputy Minister of the Advanced Indonesian Cabinet for the 2019-2024 period at the State Palace, Jakarta, as reported by Antara, Monday, August 19. Nevertheless, he denied that his meeting with Prabowo was a signal that he would also be included in the next cabinet in the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka government. "No, because I, as a Gerindra cadre, must of course ask him for permission to pray for his blessing and this morning we were accepted and he only ordered it from us," he said. Meanwhile, when it was confirmed that Prabowo was absent at the inauguration ceremony at the State Palace, he said Prabowo was visiting Australia. "There have been visits abroad to Australia," Supratman said. President Jokowi inaugurated Supratman Andi Agtas as Minister of Law and Human Rights replacing Yasonna Laoly at the inauguration ceremony of ministers and heads of institutions at the State Palace, Jakarta, Monday.

The inauguration was based on Presidential Decree Number 92P of 2024 concerning the Dismissal and Appointment of State Ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet for the 2019-2024 Period.
