Muhaimin Iskandar Affirms PKB Not Only Owned By NU

JAKARTA - Muhaimin Iskandar emphasized that PKB belongs to all Indonesian people, not belonging to certain individuals or groups, including not Nahdlatul Ulama (NU). This was conveyed by the General Chairperson of the PKB DPP at the handover of documents this afternoon.

Once again I want to say, this party belongs to the public and belongs to the Indonesian people. This party belongs to all the children of the country in Indonesia. This party does not belong to Muhaimin, it does not belong to NU. It does not belong to a group of people, but belongs to all Indonesian people," said Muhaimin in his remarks, as reported by ANTARA.

According to him, if the party is personalized or divided into a certain institution, the party will get smaller. However, Muhaimin said that the PKB is now getting bigger and will continue to grow.

"Alhamdulillah, PKB is getting bigger and will continue to grow because PKB serves the interests of all Indonesian people, serves all the interests of this nation, serves all the people in our respective responsibilities, this is the bottom line," he said.

PKB, he added, was born from the womb of the ulama and used entirely for the Indonesian people. Muhaimin said, when PKB was declared born as a party, the banner that was displayed was From Ulama for the Indonesian People.

"This is a willingness, so that no one can claim to be one of the founders. We must not also claim that This we as founders have a handle of control, no," said Muhaimin.

Based on this history, religious spirit is an inspiration, motivation, and encouragement for PKB to realize the aspirations of the people. Muhaimin also entrusted the spirit to the candidates for regional heads who were officially promoted by PKB.

"I entrust it to the regional heads that we will carry and God willing, they will win to become regional heads, that with the PKB flag, carrying the name PKB, flying the PKB flag means success if it has proven its benefits and is proven to lead with justice and prosperity," he said.
