Slamet Riyadi's Childhood Residence In Jogosuran Village Solo Needs Maintenance

JAKARTA - The Social Foundation in Solo, Central Java, Diwa Foundation, said that Slamet Riyadi's childhood residence needed treatment so that in the future it could be a historical reference for the community. Diwa Foundation founder Diah Warih Anjari said he was concerned about the condition of the house. According to him, the house should be able to be treated more properly. "I see him personally concerned because his condition is not feasible. When speaking, this national hero should be considered, given special attention on how this place is feasible," he said in Solo, Central Java, Antara, Sunday, August 18. Thus, according to him, this location could be one of the references that Solo has a national hero who is fighting to liberate Indonesia. Therefore, he immediately went to Slamet Riyadi's childhood residence on Jalan Tejonoto I Number 3, Jogosuran Village RT-01/RW-05, Danukusuman Village, Serengan District, Solo, Central Java, which is currently occupied by his family. "Later, if there is blessing from the community and others, we are given the opportunity to lead Solo, this is a priority. This place deserves to be a place that should be a historical reference," he said. Even if possible, through his foundation he wants to make the house a museum and historical tourist destination. "After seeing it, I really want to make this a history gallery, but we still have to look at the ownership status first," he said. Meanwhile, one of Slamet Riyadi's relatives, Sarjono Catur, said that the house is currently occupied by Slamet's two grandchildren. "So Mr. Slamet is two siblings, he and his older sister. This is my grandmother," he said. He said the house with an area of 1,000 M2 is currently owned by two people, namely Sarjono's mother and uncle. However, Sarjono's two younger siblings occupy daily life. According to Sarjono, the family had received assistance from several parties who deliberately visited special moments, including on independence day. "From Kopassus, TNI, Slamet Riyadi Hospital, Slamet Riyadi University, from the Surakarta City Government, this is only once from the Social Service," he said.

One of the assistance provided was to paint the walls of the house. Meanwhile, in the past, there was a repair of the water bailout because it was leaked by his own family.
