PENAJAM - President Joko Widodo invites the leadership of state institutions to review a number of infrastructures in the capital city of the archipelago (IKN) ahead of the peak of the commemoration of the 79th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia.

The visit started with the National Ascent, an area that became a symbolic center for the diversity and unity of the Indonesian nation.

After that, the President and his entourage continued their journey to the Garuda Palace by using a golf cart.

The Garuda Palace, recently completed, shows a mix of modern architecture with traditional nuances, reflecting a strong national identity.

Reported by ANTARA, Saturday, August 17, the group then headed for the presidential lobby, before proceeding to the Cabinet Courtroom.

In this room, the President provides a brief explanation of the importance of this facility for the continuity of the government in the future.

Next, the group was taken to the deconcert area, a platform at the Garuda Palace that offers spectacular views throughout the IKN area.

Here, leaders of state institutions have the opportunity to take pictures together, capturing this historic moment.

The journey was continued by riding an escalator to the State Palace, where the group again captured the moment together at the steps of the State Palace, one of the new icons in the capital city of the archipelago.

In a brief interview after the visit, the Deputy Chairman of the Judicial Commission, Siti Nurdjanah, expressed his admiration for the development that had been carried out.

He also recounted his visit to the reservoir a few months ago and was surprised to see rapid developments.

"This morning I woke up immediately ready to tour with the President and the construction in my opinion was spectacular, very good, so congratulations to the success of the Indonesian nation of course," said Siti.

Meanwhile, Hatta Rajasa, the former Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, expressed his gratitude for the President's invitation to see firsthand the State Palace and Garuda Palace.

Hatta also emphasized that the development of IKN is a symbol of the progress of civilization, equitable development, and unifying the nation.

"Of course we hope that with the existence of a palace and capital city in Eastern Indonesia, this shows that not only equal distribution but also at the same time uniting the unity of the nation," said Hatta.

Hatta is also optimistic that although it will take longer to complete the construction completely, the existing progress shows that IKN will be a good and beautiful capital.

"I am optimistic that this will, although it certainly cannot be 1-2 years old, but if you look at the progress that exists, I think this will be our good, beautiful capital city," said Hatta.
