Two Bridges In Mengkang Bolmong Break Up By Floods

JAKARTA - Two bridges in Mengkang Village, Lolayan District, Bolaang Mongondow Regency (Bolmong) broke after being hit by the flood.

"The heavy rains that occurred from Monday (12/8) to Tuesday (13/8) caused the water discharge to increase," said Head of the Emergency Division of the Bolaang Mongondow Regional Disaster Management Agency, Abdul Muin, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, August 14.

Data as of Tuesday (13/8) at 19.30 WITA said the flood also caused a bridge connecting Bakan Village and North Tanoyan Village, Lolayan District to be threatened with breaking.

Furthermore, one unit of a boarding house in Bakan Village was swept away by the flood.

Heavy rains also caused the connecting road for Bolmong Regency and South Bolmong Regency through the Matali Baru - Torosik road to be covered by landslides / collapsed materials.

This condition causes all types of vehicles to not be able to cross the connecting road.

Heavy rains also caused the SDN 3 Tanoyan and SMP Negeri 2 Lolayan buildings to be flooded.

He caused the obstacles faced were the wide coverage of flood disaster areas and weather conditions that were still extreme.

Another obstacle is the distance between the affected sub-districts of the village area which is far apart and until Tuesday (13/8) at 17.30 WITA, the condition of the water discharge that submerged residents' houses is still high.

" Access to the landslide location is still hampered by the weather," he said.
