The Cartenz Peace Task Force revealed the identities of five Armed Criminal Groups (KKB) who were the perpetrators of the murder of a foreign pilot from New Zealand, Glen Malcolm Conning in Alama District, Mimika Regency, Central Papua, last August 5.
Head of Damai Cartenz-2024 Operations, Brigadier General Faizal Ramadhani, said the five people were based in Yuguru, Nduga Regency.
"The five perpetrators are Perintakola Lokbere alias Malas Gwijangge, (20), Jeri Wandikbo, (50), Irisim Gwijangge, (20), Jaka Gwijangge, (15) and Analuk Agusim, (36) respectively located at the village of Geselma, Nduga Regency," he said in a press release in Jayapura, Antara, Wednesday, August 14.
According to Faizal, the alleged perpetrator has been issued a wanted list (DPO) for law enforcement efforts.
"So based on the results of the crime scene, we strongly suspect that the hostage-taking and shooting that resulted in the death of the Glen pilot was KKB Perek. Obviously Kogoya," he said.
Moreover, this was reinforced by findings on the walls of the house which contained pictures of weapons, pictures of the Free Papuan flag and other KKB documents.
"In addition to killing, KKB also tried to burn the IWN helicopter, MD,500 ER PK, which resulted in total damage to the helicopter," he said.
Previously, there had been a hostage-taking and shooting of a helicopter pilot belonging to PT. Intan Angkasa Air Service, Glen Malcolm Conning, who is a New Zealand national in Alama District, Mimika Regency, Central Papua (5/8).
