JAKARTA - A motorcyclist near the Cakung Timur Toll Gate, next to the JGC Traffic Light, East Jakarta was robbed by a sharp armed gang. The victim is an employee who has just returned from work to his home because of overtime.

The robbery was caught on CCTV cameras at the scene. In the footage, it can be seen that the victim riding an automatic motorbike was suddenly approached by a group of motorized youths with large and small sickles.

The perpetrators then approached the victim and carried out a robbery while swinging a sickle at the victim.

Luckily, the victim's life managed to survive after meeting the truck driver at the scene. However, the victim's motorbike was managed to be taken away by the perpetrators.

According to Saini's statement, residents around the scene of the incident, the robbery took place on Tuesday, August 13.

"It happened at 03.30 am and the victim came home from work, and was chased. The victim stopped in front, then the gangster came to the victim. The victim had asked the truck driver for help, but the driver was afraid because the perpetrator was carrying a sharp weapon," he told reporters at the scene, Wednesday, August 14, afternoon.

Initially, residents thought that the incident was a brawl between youths. No one dared to intervene, so just let it go.

"People think it's a brawler, so just leave it alone. The victim was not injured, the helmet was attacked," he said.

Although the victim was not injured, the victim's white Yamaha Fino motorbike was successfully taken away by the perpetrators.
