Security Of RI's 79th Anniversary Ceremony At IKN, Police Deploy 7 Task Forces

JAKARTA - The National Police deployed 1,013 personnel to secure a series of RI's 79th Anniversary ceremonies in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN). Thousands of members of the Bhayangkara Corps are divided into 7 task forces (satgas).

"For VIP and VVIP security, the East Kalimantan Police and their ranks have deployed the strength of approximately 1,013 personnel, which are divided into 7 task forces," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko in his statement, Wednesday, August 14.

In the VVIP security scheme, Kodam 6 Mulawarman and the Military Commander will be the Commander of the Regional Security Task Force. Then, the East Kalimantan Police Chief as Deputy Commander of the Task Force.

The security carried out is not only for invited guests, but also for prevention and mitigation of natural disasters.

For traffic security, the National Police deployed 898 personnel for security, escorting traffic and parking routes (pamwalrolakir).

In addition, there are 87 four-wheeled vehicles and 31 two-wheeled vehicles that have also been prepared for security and escort.

"All vehicles, both two-wheeled and four-wheeled, have gone through a thorough check to ensure that everything is in prime condition and ready for use," he said.

The Pamwalrolakir Task Force has also conducted various simulations to ensure their readiness to secure the big event.

"The simulation has been carried out several times, both for escort and route security. Some time ago we also had training, so that on D day we will really be ready to secure this extraordinary event," he added.

Then, on the route to IKN, Trunoyudo explained that his party placed personnel at the intersection of the road and established a post deemed to have the potential for vulnerabilities or congestion.

"Personnel in order to carry out traffic engineering activities so that it is hoped that invited guests or VIP guests, other invited guests will have no problems going to the ceremony venue, namely in the capital city of the archipelago," said Trunoyudo.
