Duet Ridwan Kamil-Suswono Di Pilgub DKI Bakal Diumumkan 19 Agustus

JAKARTA - Gerindra Party Daily Chair Sufmi Dasco Ahmad revealed that he would announce the candidate pairs for governor and deputy governor, Ridwan Kamil (RK) and Suswono who will be promoted in the Jakarta Pilkada, on Monday, August 19.

"We officially agreed to announce on August 19, possibly afternoon or evening. Watch the playing date," Dasco said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, August 14.

So far, according to him, the parties that are members of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) are still discussing the technical announcement being held separately or simultaneously.

Although the General Chairperson of PAN has announced the Ridwan Kamil pair, Suswono, Dasco did not deny this. However, he emphasized that Gerindra would only officially announce the couple on August 19.

"Yes, that's the name circulating, there was also Mr. Zul, maybe he has spoken," said Dasco.

Previously, PAN Chairman Zulkifli Hasan revealed the figure with the initials "S" who was proposed as a candidate for deputy governor to accompany Ridwan Kamil in the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada was the former Minister of Agriculture as well as Chairman of the PKS Central Advisory Council (MPP) Suswono.

He explained that Suswono was his cabinet partner when he served as Minister of Forestry in the era of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY).

Therefore, Zulhas dismissed the figure of the initial "S" as the initials of the Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Kaesang Pangarep who is also the youngest son of President Joko Widodo.

So far, the former Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil, has been promoted by the Golkar Party and also the Gerindra Party to run as a candidate for governor in the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada.

In addition, the Gerindra Party also announced that PKS and PKB would join the coalition.
