BADUNG Class I Immigration Office Special for TPI Ngurah Rai, Bali, deported a Canadian man with the initials GRS (32) who was included in the Interpol red notice. GRS was deported through I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport to Montreal, Canada.

"In addition to being included in the subject of Interpol's red notice, GRS also committed overstay violations. After coordinating with Interpol, today we are deporting the person concerned," said Head of the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office, Suhendra, Wednesday, August 14.

Previously, GRS was arrested by the Immigration Intelligence and Enforcement Team (Inteljakim) Ngurah Rai Immigration in an immigration operation in the Kerobokan area, North Kuta District, Badung Regency, on Friday (26/7).

GRS is known to have been included in Interpol's red notice at the request of the Lebanese government regarding fraud cases since February 8, 2024.

Based on Interpol documents, GRS committed fraud in Lebanon related to NFT or Non-Fungible Token investment with a nominal loss of USD 350,000 or around Rp. 5.7 billion rupiah.

Based on an examination by the Inteldakim sector, it is known that GRS has two nationalities, namely Lebanon and Canada.

"GRS entered Indonesian territory through I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport on October 28, 2023 using Visa on Arrival (VoA) and has a residence permit that is valid until December 26, 2023," he said.
