Impact Of LRT Project, Transjakarta Kayu Jati Bus Stop Modified

JAKARTA - PT Transjakarta modified the Kayu Jati Bus Stop, Rawamangun, East Jakarta, due to the 1B phase of the Jakarta LRT construction project on the Velodrome-Manggarai route. Now, Transjakarta is making a temporary bus stop on the opposite side of the Kayu Jati Bus Stop.

Head of the Public Relations and CSR Transjakarta Department, Ayu Wardhani, said that the operational adjustment of the Kayu Jati Bus Stop will last until August 26.

"We are adjusting our services to ensure customer mobility continues to run well. Customers can use the modified Transjakarta service," said Ayu in a statement, Tuesday, August 13.

The routes affected by the adjustment are corridor 4 (Pulo Gadung - Galunggung) and route 4D (Pulo Gadung - Kuningan). The route mentions serving customers on temporary/temporal bus stops available on the side of the road across the Kayu Jati Stop.

"The Galunggung direction stopped at the Kayu Jati bus 2. On the other hand, the direction of Pulo Gadung stopped at the Kayu Jati 1 bus stop," said Ayu.

Then, there is also a modification of the M4 Corridor Night Transport (Amari) route on the Pulo Gadung - Galunggung route to Pulo Gadung - Galunggung via Perintis Kemerdekaan which operates from 22.00 WIB - 05.00 WIB.

Then, the M4 Corridor temporarily did not serve the Rawamangun, Kayu Jati, and Velodrome stops and did not serve bus stops in the segment of the Perintis Kemerdekaan and Ahmad Yani roads.

The 1B phase Jakarta LRT has a 4.6 kilometer line span which has 5 stations, namely Rawamangun Youth Station, BPKP Scout Station, Matraman Station Scout Market Station, and Manggarai Station.

So far, as many as 6 LRT stations have operated with a length of 5.2 kilometers in phase 1, namely Pegangsaan Dua, North Boulevard Station, South Boulevard Station, Pulomas Station, Equestrian Station, and Velodrome Station.

So, if phase 1B has been built, the Jakarta LRT has a route length of 12.2 kilometers with 11 stations ranging from Pegangsaan Dua Station to Manggarai Station. It is estimated that the journey from Pegangsaan Dua to Manggarai can be reached for 26 minutes.

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government targets the Jakarta Phase 1B LRT to be completely completed for three years until August 2026. By 2024, it is targeted that the LRT has been built to the Scout Station.
