Agus Gumiwang Jabat Acting General Chairperson Of Golkar

JAKARTA - The Golkar Party will hold a Plenary Meeting tonight at around 19.00 WIB to determine the Acting Chairman after Airlangga Hartarto declared his resignation. A source of VOI said that the figure who filled Airlangga's position was Agus Gumiwang. "Plenary Meeting tonight has been completed, no one has protested again. PLT Ketum is in accordance with the direction of AGK (Agus Gumiwang)," explained a VOI source, Tuesday, August 13. Agus Gumiwang currently serves as Deputy Head of the Golkar Party's Economy Division. Apart from Agus, there are a number of names that are predicted to replace Airlangga's position. The two other names that are most prominent are Bambang Soesatyo and Bahlil. Golkar Deputy Melchias Markus Mekeng hopes that the Acting Ketum will be filled by a figure that can be accepted by all parties. Because, he said, the Golkar Party will hold a national meeting (Munas) in the future. "Plt Ketum only runs the organizational wheels to prepare for the National Conference, so of course people who can be accepted by all parties," Mekeng told reporters, Tuesday, August 13. Head of the Media and Opinion Raising Division (MPO) of the Golkar Party DPP, Meutya Hafid, said the plenary meeting would focus on the agenda of reading the letter of resignation of the General Chair, Airlangga Hartarto as well as determining the Acting Ketum. Followed by the determination of the Rapimnas schedule and the determination of the Munaslub schedule.
