JAKARTA Kleen, a clothing washing service center (laundry dry cleaning) on Jalan Pinang Emas, Pondok Indah, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta caught fire. A number of branded clothes such as Levis, Calvin Klein were scorched. What irritated consumers, he discovered the incident on Instagram social media, not reported by the owner of the laundry.

As a result of the fire that occurred in the early hours of Sunday, August 11, Kleen consumers were annoyed. And it is estimated that losses due to shop damage reached millions of rupiah, including washing machine damage.

Elan Siregar, one of Kleen's consumers, admitted that he knew that Kleen Pondok Indah caught fire on Monday morning, August 12, through social media.

"I don't know. There is no information other than broadcasting as well as this update (Instagram)," said Elan when confirmed, Monday, August 12.

Elan also admitted that he suffered losses of up to tens of millions of rupiah because the clothes washed in Kleen caught fire.

Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein's brand shirts, the rest of the rather middle peaks such as Zara, Levis, Uniqlo's clothes are still recent and so on, he said.

"Not to mention bedcovers. Bedcovers are IDR 1 million and above all," he continued.

Even though the laundry had caught fire, he still hoped that his clothes would still be left or not be sold out by the red rooster.

If all his clothes are completely burned down, then he hopes that the laundry will be responsible by compensating all of his losses.

"I still hope my clothes don't get burned. But if you get hit (burned) you ask for compensation," he said.

Regarding the incident, South Jakarta Gulkarmat picket officer Slamet said that the cause of the fire was suspected to be an electrical short circuit.

"The cause of the fire was an electrical short circuit," he said.

He said 30 personnel and 6 fire engines were deployed. The fire can be extinguished after an hour.

"At 01.20 WIB the beginning of the blackout. After the blackout at 02.18 WIB," he said.

Slamet ensured that there were no casualties in the incident. However, the loss reached Rp150 million.
