Closing The 2024 Olympics Colored By The Arrest Of Men Desperately Climbing The Eiffel Tower

JAKARTA - The closing of the 2024 Paris Olympics was marked by the arrest of a shirtless man climbing the Eiffel Tower. Quoting the Mirror, Monday, August 12, the man's reckless action was only hours before the Olympics closing ceremony which took place at the Stade de France, Saint-Denis Without safety equipment, the man climbed the tower as high as 330 meters. It is not known when the man climbed, but his whereabouts were only discovered when he was seen at the top of the Eiffel Tower decorated with the Paris 2024 Olympic ring. French police secured him out of the Eiffel Tower area in the afternoon local time. A number of visitors who had been asked to stay on the second floor were allowed out of the Eiffel Tower about 30 minutes later. This man's reckless action also milled about on social media X, Twitter. One of the videos shared by netizens shows the man's efforts to continue climbing.
