PDIP Gives Letter Of Assignment To Edy Rahmayadi To Advance Will Cagub North Sumatra

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) submitted a letter of assignment to Edy Rahmayadi to run as a candidate for Governor (Cagub) of North Sumatra in the 2024 Regional Head Election (Pilkada).

The handover of the assignment letter was handed over directly to the Chairperson of the PDIP DPP for Honorary Affairs, Komarudin Watubun, at the Cakra Buana PDI Perjuangan Task Force Apple event.

"I and the ranks of the DPP, the ranks of the Task Force from the center, were assigned by the Chairperson of the PDI-P to hand over the party duties to Mr. Lieutenant General Edy Rahmayadi later as Governor of North Sumatra," said Komarudin Watubun quoting Antara.

Komarudin Watubun explained that in the assignment letter, Edy Rahmayadi was asked to carry out a number of tasks including conducting internal consolidation and conducting political mappings to face the upcoming 2024 Pilkada.

"Lieutenant General Purnawirawan Edy Rahmayadi as a candidate for Governor of North Sumatra to carry out consolidation in 2024 to PDI-P, DPC to branches and branches for winning," he said.

On that occasion, the former Governor of North Sumatra was also worn by the PDI-P vest as a symbol that the party that won the 2024 General Election supports Edy Rahmayadi in the 2024 Pilkada which was marked by the submission of a letter of assignment.

"Today he is a tool of revolution with brothers and sisters, this is a tool of revolution to fight for all Indonesian people. Therefore, we were assigned by the Chairperson of the PDI-P to submit the party's assignment letter to Edy Rahmayadi to become the Governor of North Sumatra," he said.

In the 2024 General Election in North Sumatra, Megawati Soekarnoputri's party received 21 seats out of 100 seats in the North Sumatra Provincial DPRD which automatically met the requirements of 20 percent of the seat acquisition to carry the governor-deputy governor-deputy candidates.

The handover of the assignment letter was attended by thousands of people from cadres to PDI-P sympathizers and administrators from the PDI-P DPP to the North Sumatra PDI-P DPD management.

"Mr. Edy, we welcome your independence. We have gathered to risk our body and soul, for Indonesia. Pak Edy today, Pertiwi is calling you," he said.
