Again, 40 Men Netted In Preman Operations In North Jakarta

JAKARTA As many as 40 people were caught in the operation to eradicate thugs and street crimes carried out by the Pademangan Police, North Jakarta. Raids are carried out to provide a sense of security to the community.

"In this operation, we arrested 40 thugs who were caught carrying out activities that were troubling the community," said Pademangan Police Chief Kompol Binsar Hatorangan Sianturi, Antara, Friday, August 9.

He said the dozens of detained thugs consisted of 30 pak ogah, seven illegal parking attendants, and three debt collectors or debt collectors.

"We get reports from the public as an example of Mr. Ogah giving priority to the streets of all of them regardless of the impact on traffic and causing traffic jams," he said.

According to him, this operation was held at a number of points in Pademangan District, namely Jalan Gunung Sahari Raya, Lodan Raya, Kampung Bandan, Jalan Benyamin Sueb, and Jalan RE Martadinata.

He said the location was considered prone to the existence of pak ogah and acts of thuggery. After being collected, the thugs were recorded and then given directions to be involved in maintaining security and order and most importantly not disturbing the residents.

"For now, coaching can still be done so as not to return to the streets and disturb the community," he said.

Kompol Binsar emphasized that if the thugs were still doing the same thing, then his party would immediately hand it over to the North Jakarta Social Service.

"We have coordinated with the North Jakarta Social Service Sub-dept. and if there are still disturbing or disturbing the community, we will immediately process it," he said.

Previously, the North Jakarta Metro Police (Jakut) held a large rally at the Tanjung Priok Bus Terminal to eradicate thuggery so that criminal acts would no longer occur at the terminal.

He said that if they still find acts of thuggery and other forms of action, they will be processed firmly and through clear procedures.

The Head of the Tanjung Priok Bus Terminal, Muzofar Surya Alam, admitted that this terminal is identical to criminal problems and that his party is improving themselves, little by little in collaboration with the ranks of the Police. According to him, the limited number of members is the cause of difficult catching perpetrators of crimes
