Jokowi Calls The RI's 79th Anniversary Budget Reasonable To Increase 2 Times

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) assessed that the increase in the budget for the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia was a natural thing because it was held in two places, namely the capital city of Nusantara in East Kalimantan and at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta. "Yes, his name used to be only in one place. This is because there is a transition so that it becomes in two places," said President Jokowi when giving a press statement after attending the Expo Festival LIKE 2 in Jakarta, Friday, August 9. The president explained that holding the RI Anniversary Ceremony this year was held in two places because there was a transition period for the transfer of the capital city from Jakarta to IKN. However, the President emphasized that the increase in the budget for organizing the RI Anniversary ceremony this year was not a high jump, but still in a reasonable stage. Although he did not want to elaborate, the Head of State said that the budget for the ceremony came from the Ministry of State Secretariat. "But it's not a jump... I think the budget is normal, reasonable and also the budget at the Ministry of State Secretariat," said President Jokowi.

On the previous occasion, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno said the budget for organizing the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia was greater than in previous years, but the increase was insignificant. "Yes, because the ceremony is now held in two places, of course the budget is bigger than before, but not significant," said Pratikno.
