Russian Troops Attack Donetsk, 2 Dead

JAKARTA - Two people were killed in an attack by Russian troops on the city of Kostitynivka in the Donetsk region, eastern Ukraine.

Local governor Vadym Filashkin reported the attack hit residential districts in the city on Thursday, August 8 morning, reported by Reuters.

The Ukrainian-controlled Donetsk region is often the target of Russian attacks and airstrikes. Russian troops control most of the region, which Moscow claims along with four other Ukrainian territories as its own territory.
