South Sulawesi PKB Participates In Reporting Lukman Edy To The Police

The management of the South Sulawesi Province National Awakening Party (PKB) also reported the former Secretary General of the PKB DPP Lukman Edy at the local Polda on suspicion of defamation that was detrimental to the party under the captain Muhaimin Iskandar as general chairman.

"We are actually offended and feel compelled to give a warning. We deliberately report it to the Regional Police as well as administrators in other provinces do the same. All reports will certainly unite in Jakarta because the location is there," said South Sulawesi PKB DPW Chairman Azhar Arsyad in Makassar as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, August 7.

According to him, Lukman Edy's statement to degrade morals and even destroy the chaotic party that had been built so far was very good and made a positive contribution to the community when led by Cak Imin.

Azhar said that Lukman Edy was suspected of deliberately accusing the management of Muhaimin Iskandar of not being transparent in terms of party financial management, but not having a solid basis.

Lukman Edy even said that the management of party finances, election funds, legislative elections, and presidential elections (Pilpres) included eliminating the roles of the kyai were certainly unacceptable.

"Lukman Edy's statement has spread on social media to the mass media. Of course this can eliminate public trust and degrade the party's moral values and Cak Imin as chairman. That's why we also reported it," said Azhar.

The South Sulawesi DPRD legislator said that what Lukman Edy said regarding PKB did not reflect the actual condition and ignored the development or achievement of PKB which increased significantly when led by Cak Imin.

"We consider what was conveyed to be not true. Therefore, we hope that this police report can be followed up immediately as the applicable legal process," he said.

According to him, Lukman Edy's statement was very dangerous for the party's disappointment, so the response was quick for all PKB administrators throughout Indonesia to report it to their respective regional police.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the South Sulawesi PKB LPP, Syamsu Rizal, on that occasion, said that Lukman Edy's statement could have an impact on public trust in PKB.

"What was conveyed was all lies. We so far do not know what the impact will be in the future, but the most important thing is not to let voters who have chosen PKB feel betrayed," he said.

"About being transparent, according to Juknis and Juklat from the DPP or organizational regulations, even if we are responsible for one rupiah, there is an audit team," he added.
