Waria Contest At Orchardz Hotel: Management Claims To Be Missed, Committee Has Not Paid Payments

Transgender or transgender beauty pageants held at the Orchardz Hotel, Sawah Besar, Central Jakarta

JAKARTA - The management of the Orchardz Sawah Besar Hotel stated that the event organizer (EO) for organizing a transgender beauty contest or transgender had not yet paid off the payment for the rental of the place at the hotel.

"We, the hotel, are disadvantaged. Their event has not been paid in full," said Director of Sales at the Orchardz Hotel, Achmad Gandy when contacted by reporters, Wednesday, August 7.

Achmad explained that the EO of the waria beauty pageant rented a room under the pretext of a gala dinner event.

"They use the Orchardz using the gala diner name," he said.

Achmad also did not know at all if there was a transvestites beauty pageant. The reason is, the hotel is not allowed to enter the event room.

"We missed. And when the event was guarded by them and those who entered had to wear their community bracelets," he said.

Achmad said, in this case, it was his party who became the victim.

"We are from the hotel, actually victims of this incident. Why are we victims? Because yesterday we were also in the BAP at the police station and they confessed in front of the police," he said.

The transgender beauty contest was held at the Orchardz Hotel last Sunday, August 4, 2024 at around 16.00 WIB. The event, which was held illegally, went viral on social media. Moreover, there are transvestites contestants who come from Aceh.
