JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is investigating the auction process and checking the handover of tsunami shelters in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). There were 12 witnesses examined by investigators on Tuesday, August 6.
"The examination was carried out at the BPKP NTB Provincial Representative Office," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika to reporters in a written statement, Wednesday, August 7.
Tessa said the 12 witnesses fulfilled the summons. They were questioned about the auction and the checking process before the tsunami shelter was handed over from the Ministry of Public Works for the Building and Environment Planning Unit (Satker) NTB to the North Lombok Regency Government.
"Investigators are exploring the auction process and the process of checking the handover of tsunami shelters," he said.
The 12 witnesses examined were the NTB Shelter Development Commitment Making Officer (PPK), Apriarily Nirmala (AN); Construction Management Consultant, Djoni Ismanto (DI), Widya Pranoto (WP), and Sukismoyo (SKM).
Then also Djumali (DJM) who is the Chairman of Pokja; Andria Hidayati (AH) as the Secretary of Pokja; two Pokja members, namely Irham (IRH) and Isnaedi Jamhari (IJ) as well as the Secretary of PPHP; PPHP Chairman Yayan Supriyatna (YS); and Suharto (SHT), Muhammad Sahabudin (MS), and Kusmalahadi Syamsuri (KS) who are members of PPHP.
Previously reported, the KPK is investigating allegations of corruption in the construction of a temporary evacuation site (TES) or tsunami shelter in NTB. There are two people who have been named as suspects, details of one is a state administrator and another comes from a state-owned company.
It was stated that the construction was carried out by the Building and Environmental Planning Task Force, the Implementation Activities for Building and Environmental Planning (PBL) of West Nusa Tenggara Province, Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing in 2014.
