President Inaugurates Lithium Battery Anode Plant In Central Java

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is scheduled to inaugurate a lithium battery anode factory in the Special Economic Zone, Kendal, Central Java, Wednesday (7/8).

"Tomorrow the President will make a working visit to Central Java Province. He will go to a Special Economic Zone in Kendal Regency to inaugurate the Lithium Battery Anoda Plant PT Indonesia BTR New Energy Material," said Deputy for Protocol, Press and Media of Presidential Secretariat Yusuf Permana as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 6.

Yusuf said the investment value for phase 1 of the factory had been realized in the amount of 478 million US dollars with a production capacity of 80 thousand tons of battery anode material per year.

"After the event, he will immediately return to Jakarta," said Yusuf.

Meanwhile, Jokowi is also scheduled to leave for the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), East Kalimantan on August 11-14, 2024.

This was conveyed by the Acting Head of the IKN Authority Basuki Hadimuljono some time ago.

The President will hold a Plenary Cabinet Session to lay the first stone for the construction of a number of infrastructures at IKN.
