Hendrar Prihadi Waits For PDIP Recommendations Regarding Central Java Gubernatorial Election

SEMARANG - Head of the Government Goods and Services Procurement Policy Institute (LKPP) Hendrar Prihadi, who is familiarly called Hendi, admitted that he had never thought about moving forward again in the 2024 Semarang City Regional Head Election (Pilkada).

"If you want it, it's definitely not. As a rule, you can still do it," said Hendi, who is also the chairman of the DPC PDI Perjuangan Semarang City, as reported by ANTARA, Friday, August 2.

Personally, the former Mayor of Semarang has also discussed with the Chairman of the Central Java PDI-P DPD Bambang Wuryanto or Bambang Pacul.

"I have also discussed with the leadership, I will tell Mas Pacul that I have finished with matters in Semarang City. Allow me to be able to serve elsewhere," he said.

Hendi had previously registered for the PDI-P for the 2024 Central Java Pilkada

"I made an effort two months ago to be able to participate in the contestation to register at the PDI-P. Now it's just a matter of waiting for party recommendations, whether the party assigns me or not," he said.

Compared to the Semarang City Pilkada, Hendi is more determined to participate in the Central Java Pilkada contestation, especially since he has also discussed with the leaders at the Central Java PDIP.

Therefore, he reiterated that there is no desire or thoughts to run again in the contestation of the Semarang City Election this year, although it is still possible.

"I have explained that there is no desire (to advance to the Semarang City Regional Head Election, ed). If there is a plan or not, there will definitely not be, 100 percent," he asserted.

"We are trying to make efforts to be able to work together to fix Central Java Province," added Hendi.
