Jawara Kampung Dies In The Hands Of 2 Youths In West Bandung

BANDUNG - A village champion in Tanjungwangi Village, Cihampelas District, West Bandung Regency (KBB), West Java died after challenging two youths on Wednesday night.

It is known that the incident was experienced by a victim named Mumuh alias Commander (60) who was beaten by two youths, a relative named Rian Mulyana (27) and Haris Muhamad (18). About two hours after the incident the two youths were arrested by the Cililin Police, Cimahi Police.

Cimahi Police Chief AKBP Tri Suhartanto said the tragic incident began when the two perpetrators were in a rented house around the crime scene (TKP) where the victim visited.

"Starting from drinking alcohol, gathering in one place. Starting to talk to each other, there was a feeling that they finally started to get into an argument. When fighting it was unbalanced because one against two," he said, Friday, August 2.

Tri explained that the two perpetrators immediately carried out the persecution using a sharp weapon (sajam) of the type of machete that resulted in the victim's death.

"This sharp is indeed used by the suspects. One sajam is indeed owned by the victim, while the other one is used by the suspect," he said.

When a fight broke out, one of the youths managed to seize a knife owned by the victim, who is the village champion.

"From the results of the post-mortem, the victim suffered several injuries to the body, including his hands, fingers, then around the arm and died from bleeding," he explained.

Now the two young men who are nephews and uncles have been named suspects and detained by the police.

"The suspect is subject to Article 338 in conjunction with 170 of the Criminal Code with a penalty of 15 years in prison," Tri concluded.
