Airlangga: PKS Opportunity To Join The Prabowo Dependent Coalition

JAKARTA - Golkar Party Chairman Airlangga Hartarto said the opportunity for the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) to join the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) party depends on the decision of the elected president Prabowo Subianto.

"Yes (depending on Prabowo)," said Airlangga, quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, July 31.

Golkar itself has not yet agreed or disagreed, if PKS joins the coalition.

"Yes, there will be talks," he explained.

However, previously Airlangga, had said that he had considered positively the wishes of non-coal parties who wanted to support the future government.

According to him, political power is needed to answer challenges that are not easy in the future.

He also said that there were no concerns about turmoil if PKS entered the government of the President and Vice President Elect Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

PKS' desire to be included in the ranks of the Prabowo coalition party was implied by PKS President Ahmad Syaikhu some time ago.

Syaikhu responded to the statement by the Daily Chair of the Gerindra Party, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, regarding the need for collaboration to develop the country, so that in the context of government, it is impossible for only one political party to do.

"Therefore, I think for Mr. Dasco in particular, and Gerindra, invite PKS. Don't just try to invite the NasDem Party and PKB, PKS left alone," said Syaikhu.
