Gerindra Hasn't Decided On The Name Of Cagub Jakarta, Fadli Zon: Time In The 2017 Regional Head Election Also Shorted Registration

JAKARTA - The Gerindra Party has not yet decided on the name of the person to be promoted as a candidate for governor of the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada. Deputy General Chairperson of Gerindra Fadli Zon said, during the 2017 DKI Jakarta Pilkada, his party also announced that the candidate was approaching the registration time.

Fadli said Gerindra Chairman Prabowo Subianto must have held talks with other political political political party leaders.

"There must be talks, well, it's still a long time, it's still a long time, there's still time. What happened to us, I was in 2017, one or two days, before the closing of the candidate registration period (announced, ed)," said Fadli, Thursday, July 25.

According to Fadli, his party still has until August 27 to determine the most suitable figure to run in the Jakarta gubernatorial election with the coalition political parties. He also asked the public to wait for developments in the weeks ahead.

"I think there is still one more month left for us to wait. Maybe in the next weeks or two more weeks, so the time is still available," he said.

Previously, Gerindra Party Secretary General Ahmad Muzani confirmed that the cagub and cawagub pairs from KIM would be announced in August.

Currently, his party is reviewing who will be nominated in the Jakarta gubernatorial election and West Java gubernatorial election.
