Hamzah Haz's Body Buried Next To His Wife's Tomb In Puncak Bogor

The body of the 9th Vice President (Vice President) of the Republic of Indonesia Hamzah Haz was buried at the family cemetery, Jogjogan Village, Puncak Area, Cisarua, Bogor Regency, West Java, Wednesday, July 24.

The deceased will be buried right next to the tomb of his late wife Asmaniah in the Al-Ikhlas Foundation area, namely the educational environment in the form of campuses and vocational schools founded by Hamzah Haz.

The final resting place for the 9th Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia is located in a small pavilion not far from the Jami' Al-Ikhlas Mosque.

Chairman of the Al-Iklglas Foundation Junaidi Irawan said the cause of Hamzah Haz's death was due to illness.

"Because I got sick, I got news around 9 o'clock, recently I have often returned to the hospital," he said.

It was also seen that the security forces were on standby at the location to ensure the smooth funeral procession.

"Currently there has been an excavation and maybe here it has come from the protocol," said Junaidi.

Hamzah Haz's body was dispatched to the family grave after being prayed at the mosque in front of the funeral home in the Matraman area, Jakarta.

Before leaving, the body was also carried out by a military ceremony procession after it was officially handed over from the family to the government.

The bodies departed at around 14.30 WIB.

"We, the family, let everything be, what you aspire to, of course, we will follow up," said Hamzah Haz's 4th son, Nur Agus Haz at the funeral home.

It is planned that the funeral ceremony at the family grave will be led by the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, based on the statement of PPP General Chair Mardiono.

The body of the nation's leader was taken to the cemetery using a hearse from the Permanent Garnisun Command (Kogartap) TNI I/Jakarta. The family and relatives of the deceased also accompanied the trip to the burial site.
