East Java Police Arrest 2 Drug Network Freddy Pratama Worth IDR 85 Billion

SURABAYA - The East Java Regional Police failed the circulation of methamphetamine weighing 88 kg and ecstasy pills as many as 2,100 pills from Fredy Pratama's international drug trafficking network. "From the disclosure of the case of the distribution of methamphetamine and ecstasy, the police arrested two suspects," said East Java Police Chief Inspector General Imam Sugianto, quoted by ANTARA Tuesday, July 23. The two suspects who were arrested were ABM (35) a resident of Bandung City who lives in Tatah Pemangkih Laut Village, Kertak Hanyar District, Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan Province. One other suspect is YDS (22) a resident of Palangka Raya City who lives on Jalan Utan Kayu, Kelurahan Pelusin Dalam, South Banjarmasin City, Banjarmasin City, South Kalimantan Province. The two suspects were arrested at different places and times. Suspect ABM was arrested on Friday, May 24, 2024 in Banjar Regency. "The suspect YDS was arrested on Friday, June 21, 2024 at around 16.00 WITA in Central Banjarmasin, Banjarmasin City, South Kalimantan Province," he added. From the arrest of ABM the police secured 41 packs of Chinese tea with jenawa Guanyinwang in gold with a weight of 43.5 kg and 2,100 ecstasy pills of the blue Phillips logo.

"The suspect ABM admitted that the methamphetamine and ecstasy belonged to Fredy Pratama, who was entrusted to the suspect ABM. ABM received a salary of Rp. 20 million from the international network dealer," he said. The suspect ABM is a recidivist who in 2017 was also convicted of a narcotics case of methamphetamine type. The suspect in YDS, the evidence that was secured was 43 packs of gold Guanyinwang tea containing 45 kg of methamphetamine. "The disclosure of this case is the result of the development of the Police Report (LP) in May 2023 TKP Sidoarjo suspect AR who is currently serving a sentence in one of the prisons in East Java," said the East Java Police Chief., the suspect YDS admitted to sending methamphetamine to several places according to instructions from international network drug dealer Fredy Pratama in the Banjarmasin area, South Kalimantan.

YDS was promised a commission of Rp. 200 million if it succeeded in delivering the package containing the methamphetamine.

In the police estimate, the value of the evidence that was secured reached Rp 85 billion if converted can save 820,000 human lives from the negative impact of narcotics. The two suspects were subject to Article 114 paragraph (2) and/or Article 112 paragraph (2) of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.
