Gerindra: We Wait For PKB To Enter The Government Together

JAKARTA - The daily chairman of the Gerindra Party DPP, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, openly invited the National Awakening Party (PKB) to join the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka government.

According to Dasco, Gerindra should invite PKB to join the government camp because the two parties had "integrated" to form a temporary coalition in the 2024 presidential election, before finally PKB and Gerindra were in different coalitions.

This was revealed by Dasco when giving a speech at the PKB 26th Harlah event which was also attended by all leaders of political parties.

"In the future, PKB, Gerindra, all parties must be together. Because it was said that we are an old love, we are waiting for PKB to join the government together," said Dasco at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Tuesday, July 23.

On that occasion, Dasco admitted that PKB Chairman Muhaimin Iskandar was a good political figure. This was also said by the Deputy Head of Golkar Bambang Soesatyo.

"Gus Muhaimin's expertise is unquestionable in the PKB captain, from time to time, to the present. But this is not yet the peak. Earlier, Mas Bambang said there was a time, PKB would reach its peak," said Dasco.

Meanwhile, Gerindra Chairman and 2024 President-elect Prabowo Subianto also gave PKB anniversary greetings via video recordings. The Minister of Defense apologized for not being able to attend.

"I apologize for not being able to attend in person because I was abroad to fulfill the invitation of several foreign heads of state and also representing the President of the Republic of Indonesia, President Joko Widodo. For that, I asked several leaders of the Greater Indonesia Movement Party to represent me," said Prabowo.

"Hopefully PKB will always be loyal to the Indonesian nation and people, always serve, always defend the national interests of the Indonesian nation," he continued.

For information, PKB held a celebration of its 26th birthday today. A number of party leaders were also present at the 26th Harlah of the PKB. Among them are the General Chairperson (Ketum) of the NasDem Party Surya Paloh, PKS President Ahmad Syaikhu, Plt Ketum PPP Muhamad Mardiono, Hanura Chairman Oesman Sapta Odang, Garuda Chairman Ahmad Ridha Sabana.

There are a number of ketum whose presence is represented by party officials, including the Daily Chairperson of Gerindra Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, Deputy Chairperson of PAN Viva Yoga Mauladi and Secretary General of PAN Eddy Soemarno, Chairman of the PDIP DPP Ahmad Basarah, Secretary General of Golkar Lodewijk F. Paulus, Deputy Democrat Benny K. Harman, to Member of the PSI Board of Trustees Isyana Bagoes Oka.

Also present were MPR Chairman Bambang Soesatyo, Setha Deputy Chairperson of the MPR Hidayat Nur Wahid and Yandri Susanto during the 26th PKB Harlah.
