Nine people were shot, three of whom died in the shooting allegedly involving several armed men in Philadelphia, United States.
Mass shootings took place at block 1200 North Alden Street, Carroll Park, West Philadelphia, where more than 100 people were attending, according to Philadelphia Police Department.
When officers arrived, they found the victim suffering gunshot wounds and several bullet casings scattered in the area, Police Inspector Philadelphia DF said Pace.
"It seems that there are several shooters. It is currently unclear how many. But we have calculated at least 25 to 30 bullet casings at this time," Pace said as quoted by ABC News, Monday, July 22.
"We're not sure if it's a complex party or just a group of individuals invited from other areas of the city. It's still unclear for now," he added.
Bullet casings found from the scene showed different caliber weapons were used in the shooting, which was 'consistent with intermediate exchange of fire at the site,' according to a recent police statement.
Investigators are trying to identify who was involved in the shooting. No arrests have been announced and the names of the dead victims have not been announced.
The motive for the shooting is also being investigated, police said.
