JAKARTA - A total of 4,400 flights worldwide have been canceled and more than 39,700 have been postponed due to information technology (IT) disruptions, FlightAware said.
According to the American airline monitoring company, the number of canceled and delayed flights was recorded on Friday (19/7) at 23.00 GMT or Saturday, July 20, at 06.00 WIB.
Earlier on Friday, FlightAware said on its website, there were more than 3,200 canceled flights and at least 29,300 were delayed in various parts of the world.
"Today's total delayed flights: 39,786... Total canceled today: 4,417," according to data from the company as reported by ANTARA from Sputnik.
