The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Is Looking For Evidence Of Obstacles In The Investigation Of Harun Masiku's Case

The current Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is looking for evidence of an alleged obstruction of justice in the Harun Masiku case, which is still at large.

KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika said the process began by examining Dona Berisa, who is Saeful Bahri's ex-wife, a bribe for former KPU commissioner Wahyu Setiawan as a witness. This request for information was made by investigators on Thursday, July 18.

"Meanwhile (still, red) the evidence was collected," Tessa told reporters at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Friday, July 19.

From the results of the examination, investigators did sniff out allegations of obstruction in the search for fugitive Harun. "But what details, what kind of efforts, who is suspected of being involved there is still being collected," said a spokesman with the investigator's background.

"So we are waiting for the process. There is no mention to a particular subject but the opportunity is still there and is being investigated by investigators," continued Tessa.

As previously reported, Harun Masiku became a fugitive after being named a suspect in giving bribes to former KPU Commissioner Wahyu Setiawan to serve as a member of the DPR through the interim shift (PAW). He has fled for four years or from 2020.

The investigators have now examined four witnesses to find their whereabouts. One of them is PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto on Monday, June 10.
