Helicopter Carcasses Fall In Bali Pinched By Two Cliffs, Australian Tourists Broken Bones

The helicopter carcass that crashed in Pecatu, Bali, has not been evacuated. The helicopter was hit by two cliffs in the Banjar Suluban area, Badung Regency.

Joint officers from Basarnas, Polri and TNI are still at the location and access to the Heli Tour carcasses has been limited to police lines.

Head of Basarnas Bali I Nyoman Sidakarya said that the cause of the helicopter falling was waiting for the results of an investigation from the National Transportation Safety Committee (NTSC).

"We are still waiting from the NTSC to investigate the fall, what the problem was and what happened," said Sidakarya at the location, Friday, July 19.

Meanwhile, pilots and crew and three passengers were hospitalized in different hospitals, namely Siloam Hospital, Udayana Hospital, and Jimbaran Hospital.

"The five people are still safe and healthy and some are injured and broken bones," he added.

The helicopter that crashed was PK-WSP type Bell 505 helicopter belonging to PT. Indo Aviasi Perkasa. Of the five victims, it was reported that two were seriously injured, namely one Australian tourist and a helicopter crew.

"There are two injured victims, a fracture from Australia and its own crew," he explained.

Sidakarya said that at the crash site, a large rope was also found. There are also those that are wrapped in the helicopter propellers.

"If we look at the location, it is true, and it is true that there is a large rope wrapped around and immediately falls at that location," he said.

The identities of the pilots and helicopter passengers that crashed in Pecatu Bali are:

3. Eloira Decti Paskilah (Female/Indonesia/passenger);

4. Chriestope Pierre Marrot Castellat (male/Australia/passenger);

5. Oki (male / Indonesian / crew).
