Lack Of Electability In The West Java Gubernatorial Election Survey, Ilham Habibie Admits That He Still Must Often Appear

JAKARTA - The West Java Governor candidate who was promoted by the NasDem Party, Ilham Akbar Habibie, did not deny that his electability was still very low in a number of West Java gubernatorial election surveys released recently.

Ilham admitted that he still had to often appear to the public to introduce himself as a contestant candidate who wanted to run in the 2024 Pilkada of West Java province so that the public could find out.

"What must be done to increase, improve the situation in terms of surveys, of course I think the answer is classic, yes. We must often appear in the media, both formal and social media," said Ilham at the PKS DPP office, South Jakarta, Thursday, July 18.

It is known, in the results of the Indonesian Political Indicators survey, Ilham's electability was only 0.3 percent. Meanwhile, in the SMRC survey, Ilham only got 0.7 percent electability. Meanwhile, there is no name Ilham Habibie in the West Java cagub exchange in the Kompas Research and Development survey.

Therefore, the son of the 3rd President of the Republic of Indonesia BJ Habibie will visit the people of West Java more often in 27 regencies/cities. Ilham will also meet leaders, organizations, and Islamic boarding schools in West Java.

"I think that's what will be done in the next 4 months," said Ilham.

Meanwhile, the Secretary General of the NasDem Party, Hermawi Taslim, believes that Ilham's electability will continue to increase. Given that they still have time to campaign until the voting day for the 2024 Pilkada on 27 November.

"The survey is a modern portrait that continues to change, Ilham is also new. If we walk with Ilham, NasDem has been around from the start. However, West Java because it is so large, we gave an example, one Bogor Regency is only bigger than 8 provinces in eastern Indonesia," explained Hermawi.

"We know it's not easy, but it's not impossible either. We keep going, keep building optimism," he added.

Today, NasDem visited the PKS DPP office to invite a coalition to carry Ilham in the West Java gubernatorial election. PKS still asked for time until early August to determine its political stance.
