Jokowi Invites UAE President To Visit Indonesia In September

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo invited United Arab Emirates (PEA) President MohamedBin Zayed Al Nahyan (MBZ) to visit Indonesia in September.

This was conveyed by President Widodo in a bilateral meeting with PEA President MohamedBin Zayed Al Nahyan (MBZ) in Qasr Al Watan, Abu Dhabi, PEA, Wednesday, July 17.

"If there is time, I would like to invite His Majesty to visit Indonesia this year in September and I feel very honored if Your Majesty is pleased to fulfill it," said President Jokowi as quoted by ANTARA.

During the meeting, President Jokowi emphasized the good cooperation and brotherhood relationship between Indonesia and the UAE during his 10 years of leadership.

President Jokowi also expressed his gratitude for the construction of a mosque in his hometown, namely the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and the Emirates-Indonesia Kardiology Hospital in Solo.

The President also thanked the naming on President Joko Widodo's Road and President Joko Widodo's Mosque in Abu Dhabi.

"Also naming roads in Abu Dhabi and Joko Widodo Mosque in Abu Dhabi. This will strengthen our relationship in the future between Indonesia and the UAE," said President Jokowi.

When he arrived in Qasr Al Watan, Abu Dhabi, President Jokowi was greeted with a state ceremony.

President Jokowi also received the highest civil award from President MBZ in the form of Order of Zayed.

The Order of Zayed was also given by MBZ to world leaders, including Xi Jinping from China, Narendra Modi from India, Vladimir Putin from Russia, to Indonesian Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto.

The state welcoming ceremony was closed with lunch by President MBZ.
