Golkar- Gerindra Compact Bobby-Surya Duet In North Sumatra Gubernatorial Election, PKB: If Possible The Cawagub Is A Woman

JAKARTA - The Golkar Party and the Gerindra Party agreed to pair Bobby Nasution with Surya in the 2024 North Sumatra Pilgub, in the midst of the PKB proposal that presented the name Nagita Slavina.

PKB does not have a problem if Bobby is paired with Surya, who serves as the Regent of Asahan.

However, the party chaired by Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin suggested that President Joko Widodo's son-in-law choose a female cawagub.

"Yes, there is no problem for PKB. What is clear is that PKB proposes if it can be a female figure," said PKB Deputy Head Jazilul Fawaid, Wednesday, July 17.

If representatives of women do not take place as cawagub of North Sumatra, according to Jazilul, political parties in North Sumatra, including PKB, fail to cadre women.

"This means that parties in North Sumatra, including PKB, fail to cadre women like that," he said.

However, Jazilul did not close the door for the Bobby-Surya pair. The cawagub issue, he said, would be decided together after the coalition political parties sat together.

"After sitting together (about the cawagub)," he said.

"The PKB basically wants a woman's representative. If it's Mr. Surya who is meant, Mr. Surya is a man, who knows that in the middle of the road there are also female cadres who propose outside Mbak Nagita, figures in the party in North Sumatra," he concluded.
