The Governor Of Kaltara Provides Assistance For Land Victims Landslide

TARAKAN Governor of North Kalimantan (Kaltara) Zainal A Paliwang visited the landslide location in Karang Anyar Village, Tarakan City.

The governor expressed his deep sorrow to the families of the victims who died as a result of the landslide that occurred on Wednesday (25/12) in the morning which resulted in 3 fatalities.

Governor Zainal also provided cash assistance to families of landslide victims.

"The residents of Kaltara who got the disaster we intervened, we helped in the form of funds and God willing, we will help later to repair the house if he still wants to live there," said the Governor.

At the scene, Governor Zainal found two landslide locations including RT 15 and RT 70 where the houses affected were heavily damaged.

In addition, Governor Zainal took the time to have a dialogue with the families of the victims and the community around the scene to provide moral support.

"I saw that my brothers and sisters who were affected by the landslide disaster in RT 15 had two houses, one house the mother and child died. One house survived because it was built," he concluded.

After reviewing the location of the landslide disaster, the Governor of Kaltara continued to visit and distribute aid to fire victims located in Kampung Satu Village, Tarakan City.
