KPK Confiscates 1,500 Square Meters Of Land From The Son Of The Governor Of North Maluku Abdul Gani Kasuba

KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika said the assets were confiscated by investigators on Monday, July 15. The location is in Cikarang, Bekasi, West Java.

"KPK investigators have confiscated three plots of land and buildings covering an area of approximately 1,500 square meters worth approximately Rp. 2 billion," Tessa told reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Wednesday, July 17. Tessa explained that the land was owned by Abdul Gani Kasuba's son, Muhammad Tariq Kasuba. "The three plots of land and buildings were confiscated in the corruption and money laundering case allegedly committed by the suspect AGK as the Governor of North Maluku for the 2014-2019 period and 2019-2024," explained the spokesman with the investigator's background.

After being confiscated by investigators, the anti-corruption commission then installed a sign. The installation was carried out on Tuesday, July 16.

"The day later the investigators carried out a confiscation sign or a confiscation sign," he said.

As for this case, investigators have examined Tariq as a witness in the money laundering case of Abdul Gani Kasuba on Monday, July 15. Investigators at that time asked about the assets owned by his father and family.

Previously reported, the KPK named the inactive North Maluku Governor Abdul Gani Kasuba as a suspect in the alleged crime of money laundering (TPPU). From several pieces of evidence obtained, he is suspected of laundering up to Rp100 billion.

The determination of this suspect was carried out as the development of the alleged bribery of goods and services procurement projects as well as the granting of permits within the North Maluku Provincial Government. He has been detained along with five other suspects since December 20 after being caught in a hand arrest operation (OTT).

The five suspects are the Head of the North Maluku Provincial Government Housing and Settlement Office, Adnan Hasanudin; Head of PUPR PUPR Maluku Provincial Government Daud Ismail; Head of BPPBJ North Maluku Provincial Government Ridwan Arsan; Ramadhan Ibrahim who is Abdul Gani's aide and the private sector, namely Stevi Thomas and Kristian Wuisan.
