Brother And Sister In Mukomuko Bengkulu Arrested For Stealing 450 Iron Batangs

MUKOMUKO - Mukomuko Resort Police, Bengkulu, arrested two siblings suspected of stealing 450 iron rods.

"Both of them are brothers with the initials JW (41) and SU (38). They have committed a criminal act of iron theft belonging to Hasan, a resident of Koto Jaya Village who is also the husband of one of the JW perpetrators," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Mukomuko Police, Iptu Achmad Nizar Akbar, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, July 16.

The perpetrator was arrested after his party received a report from Hasan, a resident of Koto Jaya Village, Mukomuko City District who lost as many as 450 iron rods.

Based on the complainant's statement, he lost iron on April 9, 2024 during the day, after which he reported the incident to the police.

The police followed up on the report by investigating the theft case, then the police arrested the two brothers and sisters on July 13, 2024.

The police detained both of them at the Police Headquarters to undergo an examination related to the iron theft case.

Meanwhile, from the information of the two perpetrators, they stole hundreds of iron rods used by the complainant to build culverts and tombs.

Evidence in this theft case was 400 iron rods and a car used by the perpetrators to lift iron.
