Attending The Praspa Inauguration, Puan Reminds TNI-Polri Officers To Become People's Mainstay

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, attended the Prasetya Ceremony of TNI and Polri Officers at the Merdeka Palace, Central Jakarta. Puan asked the young TNI-Polri officers who had been inaugurated to become a mainstay for the community.

"I congratulate the young officers who have been inaugurated this morning because they have succeeded in completing education with high resilience and fighting power. I hope that the newly appointed TNI-Polri officers can become a mainstay for all Indonesian people," said Puan, Tuesday (16/7/24).

The young TNI-Polri officers appointed by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) include 906 prospective youth officers (Capaja), consisting of 417 Military Academy Academics (Akmil), 129 Navy Academy Academies (AAL) Capaja, 113 Indonesian Air Force Academy (AAU) Capaja, and 247 Police Academy Academies (Akpol). The position or rank of Akpol graduates are inspector II while for Akmil graduates with the rank of lieutenant II.

Puan reminded that people have high hopes for the TNI-Polri in maintaining national defense and security.

Puan then emphasized the world's rapidly growing conditions in the midst of the industrial revolution 4.0 and the emergence of technological disruptions. He encouraged young officers to adapt quickly so that they could carry out their duties properly.

"Young TNI tourists must be able to adapt in the field of technology to anticipate non-conventional wars such as cyber war. But we are grateful that currently many TNI officers come from Gen Z who have advantages in the field of technology," said Puan.

"Of course, changes in this era must be adjusted to the work patterns and coaching within the TNI, including the awareness of young officers to continue to hone their skills in order to overcome various types of war in order to maintain national defense," added the former Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture.

Meanwhile, for young Polri officers, Puan advised to be able to adapt to various new modes of crime in the midst of rapid technological developments. He also asked Polri personnel to ensure that they work optimally in maintaining security stability in the community.

Furthermore, Bung Karno's grandson encouraged TNI-Polri officers to continue to maintain solidity in order to ensure that the task of protecting the nation and state can be maximized. Puan also asked these young officers to continue to maintain their integrity, ethics, and uphold the values of soldiers in carrying out their duties and responsibilities.

The strong synergy between the TNI and Polri will also strengthen this nation. Show solidarity in carrying out tasks so that people feel safe and comfortable because their security guards are solid," he said.

Puan hopes that young TNI-Polri officers can quickly adapt in various situations, because the tasks that will be carried out in the future are not easy. He asked the young TNI-Polri officers to carry out their duties with full responsibility and show real dedication to society, nation and state.

"Prove the ability and loyalty in carrying out the duties of the state. Always be in front to help the people," said Puan.

Apart from Puan, several other officials who attended this ceremony included Vice President Ma'ruf Amin, Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, and TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto.

At the ceremony, Air Force Wing Commander of the Air Force Academy acted as Ceremony Commander. Then the ceremony officer Brigadier General Heru Langlang Buana as the Director of TNI Academy Education.
