KPK Determines New Suspect In The Bribery Case Of The Former Indramayu Regent

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is developing a case of alleged receipt of gifts or promises related to financial assistance from West Java Province to the Indramayu Regency Government for the 2017-2019 Fiscal Years. In developing this case, the anti-corruption commission has even named new suspects.

However, based on the current leadership policy, the suspect's announcement and the chronology of this case still cannot be conveyed.

"We are currently unable to convey the chronology of the case and the suspects," said Acting KPK spokesperson for prosecution Ali Fikri in a written statement, Friday, March 19.

He is also economical in talking about this investigation. In fact, Ali asked the public to be patient and give investigators time to work.

"Announcement of suspects will be made when the arrest and / or detention of the suspects has been made," said Ali.

He also ensured that the development of investigations would be submitted by the KPK later and asked the public to continue to oversee the course of this case.

Previously, the KPK had appointed members of the West Java DPRD for the 2014-2019 and 2019-2024 periods, Abdul Rozaq Muslim. This determination is the result of case development carried out by KPK investigators.

Previously, the KPK appointed four people who were arrested by the KPK on October 15, 2019. They were the Regent of Indramayu for the 2014-2019 period Supendi, former Head of the Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Office of Indramayu Omarsyah Regency, Head of the Road Sector at the PUPR Office of Indramayu Wempy Regency Triyono, and Carsa AS.
