JAKARTA - PT Transjakarta changed the name of the Gelora Bung Karno Bus Stop to the Senayan Bank DKI Bus Stop. This is a collaboration for 3 years with the regional development bank (BPD) of Bank DKI.
President Director of Transjakarta Welfizon Yuza revealed that the reason for changing the naming of the bus stop was commercial branding and to increase its contribution to corporate income.
"This collaboration is a driving force to advance the public transportation system in Jakarta and support people's lifestyle as a form of representation from a sustainable global city," Welfizon said in his statement, Friday, July 12.
He added that the naming of the Senayan Bank DKI bus stop will also increase Bank DKI's awareness brand by reintroducing the Jakarta Tourist Pass which can be utilized by public transportation users as well as activation opportunities and events that Transjakarta customers can enjoy.
"Every day approximately 10,000 users use this bus stop. We place naming rights because this is the busiest bus stop," he said.
Bank DKI President Director Agus H. Widodo explained, by becoming the holder of the right to name the bus stop, his party will start a partnership program and other strategic initiatives that will be run by Bank DKI and Transjakarta to realize public transportation services and provide a better experience for users of Transjakarta services.
"The naming of the Senayan Bank DKI Transjakarta Bus Stop is a tangible manifestation of Bank DKI's support to provide the best service for the people of Jakarta. We believe this effort will support improving the quality of public transportation in Jakarta," said Agus.
Bank DKI has an electronic transaction service for JakCard which can be a non-cash payment ticket for Transjakarta services. Until now, JakCard can be used for integrated transportation in Jakarta, starting from Transjakarta, Jaklingko, Commuter Line, MRT Jakarta, to LRT Jakarta and Jabodebek.
