Entering The Commuter Line Crossing Through The Wall Hole, The Man In Jatinegara Was Killed By A Train

JAKARTA - A man with the initials NN (44) was found dead at a railroad crossing under the Jatinegara flyover, East Jakarta, Thursday, July 11, morning. The victim suffered severe injuries to the head, hands and feet as a result of being struck by a commuter line train.

The witness at the scene said that the victim initially was desperate to cross through illegal crossings, entering through the railroad barrier wall.

It is suspected that the victim did not know that there was a commuter line train coming from Jakarta to Bekasi. He was struck to death instantly at the scene.

Police officers from the Jatinegara Police who arrived at the location immediately identified the victim's body.

"He died after being hit by a commuter line from Jakarta towards Bekasi," said KAI security officer Nur Ali at the scene, Thursday, July 11, morning.

After identification of the victim's body, the police evacuated the body using an ambulance from the Black Cross of the DKI Jakarta City Parks and Forest Service.

The victim's body was evacuated through the access to a porous wall where he entered the railroad track. However, the officers had difficulty because the wall hole was very small in diameter.

After a few minutes of removing the victim's body through the wall hole, finally the victim's body was successfully removed from the Jatinegara train line.

The body was then put in an ambulance to be taken to RSCM, Central Jakarta.

"The victim has an identity. He entered from the hole of this illegal wall," he said.

Meanwhile, the case of this train accident was handled by the Jatinegara Police Headquarters.
